Join this workshop to delve into the essential elements of tea bowls, exploring both their functionality and aesthetics. Participants will engage in hands-on activities, starting with pinching and then carving their own unique tea bowl creations. While clay will be provided, attendees are encouraged to bring local clays, sand, or rock dust to contribute to the discussion and potentially incorporate into their work. The session will conclude with Hamish leading an informal matcha tea ceremony, accompanied by a delightful treat. -- Please Bring your toolkit with you. -- Hamish Jackson started working with clay at Winchcombe Pottery in England, where he is from.
