Join local Otautahi artist MB Acres for a half-day workshop creating an illustrative botanical artwork with pencil, ink, and marker.

This is a beginner-friendly workshop suitable for anyone who would like to learn to draw and create a botanical wreath using meaningful natural elements.

During this half-day workshop you will learn basics for planning, drawing, adding detail, and finishing an illustrated wreath.

The workshop will include:
- Basic drawing tips: how to get the best results from everyday drawing supplies
- Drawing illustrative florals: how to break down elements of a botanical plant or flower into easy to draw steps.
- Basic colour work: what colours do you need to get started and how to select colours that look good together.
- Supply deep dive: what do you need to get started with at home, and how to get the most out of any supplies you already have.
- Creating an original artwork: illustrating a botanical wreath using colours and florals/foliage.

This is suited to those aged 14 and over, and all materials are provided for use during the workshop. This will also include an artwork to take home.
There are strictly limited amounts of spaces, booking requires payment before the workshop to secure your place.

You should bring: everything you need is supplied but please do bring any drawing supplies from home you would like tips for working with, and a notebook/pencil for anything you would like to note.
