In this workshop you will learn everyday mindfulness methods and strategies for reducing stress and anxiety. A broad evidence base supports mindfulness meditation for these effects and many more. While we won’t really get into mindfulness meditation in this workshop, you will be introduced you to the low hanging fruit of mindfulness. You will learn how to apply breathing and everyday mindfulness interventions to manage your stress response, reducing anxiety, wind-up, rumination and the other negative effects of an overactive stress response. Essential life skills for the modern world. Everyday mindfulness for stress and anxiety is free for Otago Polytechnic staff and students.
