Dolly Parton announces release date for star-studded rock album ‘Rockstar’

Country music legend Dolly Parton is set to release her highly anticipated first rock album titled "Rockstar" on November 17th. The album will feature collaborations with an impressive line-up of iconic artists, including Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Elton John, Lizzo, and many others. With a total of 30 tracks, the album features nine original songs and 21 classic rock anthems, such as “Free Bird,” “Purple Rain,” and “We Are the Champions." The cover art showcases 80s vibes, with Parton sitting on a motorcycle holding a guitar while wearing a black studded-leather outfit.

During the 58th annual Academy of Country Music Awards on May 11th, Parton will debut the first single from the album. She will also co-host the event with Garth Brooks, which will stream live on Prime Video around the world. The album will be available in four-LP sets, two-CD sets, and through digital downloads and streaming services.

Parton expressed her excitement about the upcoming album and working with such an impressive list of collaborators. "I hope everybody enjoys the album as much as I’ve enjoyed putting it together!" said Parton in a statement. The full tracklist for the album has been released, which includes several popular rock songs and collaborations with various artists.
