Damien Rice announces return to Australia and New Zealand

Following a sold-out tour in May 2023, acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter Damien Rice is set to return to Australia and make his long-awaited debut in New Zealand in January and February 2025.

Rice will perform in several cities across Australia, including Adelaide, Melbourne, Bendigo, Canberra, Thirroul, Sydney, Newcastle, and Brisbane, before heading to New Zealand for shows in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch.

Rice is known for his hauntingly beautiful performances, often creating an intimate atmosphere regardless of the venue size. He typically performs without a setlist, fostering a unique connection with his audience during each show.

After his last visit to Australia, Rice toured globally, featuring intimate performances in Japan and a Sailboat Tour across Italy and Spain. With a rich history of captivating live performances, he continues to leave audiences in awe.

Since releasing his debut album, O, in 2002, Rice has garnered significant acclaim, reaching the Top 10 on the UK Album Chart and securing three Top 30 singles along with a Shortlist Music Prize. His follow-up album, 9, released in 2006, included the hit single “9 Crimes.” His most recent album, My Favourite Faded Fantasy, came out in 2014, leaving fans eager for new music.
