Adding to the festive atmosphere, local pit masters and winners of the “Cooks on Fire” TV show, Black Label Barbecue, will be back again this year. Last year, their food was such a fan favorite, they sold out. Black Label Barbecue won’t be the only smoky, Savoury and sweet BBQ masters on site. This festival is a true paradise for BBQ lovers, providing the opportunity to check out New Zealand’s best pitmasters as they compete in two internationally sanctioned BBQ competitions. While these teams are cooking purely for the judges, there will be many delicious vendors covering your favorite hot & fast and traditional low & slow barbecue. For those wanting to up their own BBQ game, there will be a range of BBQ-related retailers ready with deals, and a schedule of demonstrations, tastings, and classes over the festival weekend. Blues music is a genre with deep roots and a rich history, originating from African American communities in the Deep South of the United States in the late 19th century. It has evolved over the years, giving rise to various sub-genres such as Delta blues, Chicago blues, Texas blues, and more. Each style brings its unique flavor, making blues a universally appealing genre that resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Festival goers will experience the raw emotion and powerful performances of some of the best blues artists in Aotearoa. The event is family-friendly fun with a range of activities for all ages, making it a perfect weekend getaway for families. Mark your calendars for a weekend filled with soul-stirring blues music and mouth-watering BBQ delights. Tickets will be available from Tuesday, 30 July, at Moshtix.
