Watch the Wetini Mitai-Ngātai Mural be created by Taumata Solomon over the period 12-22 September Location on the corner of Eruera St and Tutanekai St Taumata Solomon is a Māori Artist who loves share stories through the exploration of his own creativity. He has a strong connection in Te Ao Māori, tōna reo Māori ka mutu ōna tikanga Māori anō hoki. Taumata says “I truely believe my work speaks due to my grounding in Te Ao Māori.” This piece will showcase his spray painting portraiture skill set in honour of a humble, iconic and legendary local kaihaka, Wetini Mitai-Ngātai.
