OUR STORY

Located in sunny Takaka in New Zealand's stunning Golden Bay, Roots Bar was built with a vision of providing an alternative space where locals and travellers can enjoy a great music culture through a great sound system, eat fantastic food, enjoy the high vibes and energy that the outside open fire brings to the bar, and of course indulge in tasting some NZ medal winning craft beers that the bar has on tap.

Roots Bar is owned and operated by owner Holly Osmond – with over a decade of
hospitality experience in Oz and NZ.

The atmosphere and energy are always warm and inviting in the Roots Bar,
whether it’s the candlelight, the firelight and warmth, the rustic furniture,
the smooth quality sounds or the interesting people you always seem to meet.

Roots Bar free WiFi means travellers, backpackers and businesspeople
can enjoy relaxing in the early evening with a coffee, wine or beer and
check emails or cruise the web in the bar.
