The Walters Prize 2024 | Judge’s Lecture

Join us for a lecture with this year’s Walters Prize judge: Prof Bonaventure Soh Bejeng Ndikung.

Bonaventure Soh Bejeng Ndikung is a curator, author and biotechnologist, and is currently director and chief curator of Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) in Berlin, Germany. He is the founder and was artistic director of SAVVY Contemporary in Berlin and was also the artistic director of sonsbeek20–24 – a quadrennial contemporary art exhibition in Arnhem, the Netherlands.

This lecture marks Ndikung’s visit to Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki to select a winner for this year’s Walters Prize. It will highlight some of his past projects, current focuses, and views on contemporary art and curatorial practice.
