After making waves in Tāmaki Makaurau, we’re thrilled to share our unique blend of fun, music, and meaningful connections with you. Sapphic Sounds has been dedicated to creating inclusive, exhilarating spaces where the queer community can dance, connect, and celebrate. Our events are all about queer joy, safety, and fostering genuine interactions—each night is designed to bring people together in a safe and fun environment. Sapphic events are created by queer people and for people who identify as a part of the LGBTTQIA+ community. Sapphic is for anyone who feels this word represents them, this includes all expressions of gender, sexuality and cultural identity. ???? Date: Saturday, 19th October ???? Time: Doors open at 9:00 PM. Doors close 2:30 AM. ???? Venue: The Retropolitan, 228 St Asaph Street, Ōtautahi What’s Happening: 9:00 PM – Doors Open: Arrive early, grab a drink, and start mingling with like-minded souls! 9:30 PM – Sapphic Search Game: Dive into our interactive human bingo game and meet new friends in a playful and engaging way. 10:30 PM - 2:00 AM – DJ Sets: Our amazing DJs will take over, spinning the hottest tracks and keeping the dance floor packed all night long! Prepare to be dazzled by The Retropolitan’s eclectic charm! This space is known for its groovy retro vibe and kooky design, creating a whimsical atmosphere perfect for a night of celebration. With a mix of booths, bar learners, love seats, and an outdoor balcony where you can dance under the stars you’ll be able to party and mingle to your hearts desire. To sweeten the deal, we will be slinging special Sapphic-themed cocktails all night long for only $18! Enjoy a Masc-ow Mule or Lespresso Martiniti or two. All house drinks including beer, wine, and spirits, will be on special for $10 each and a full menu of tasty treats will also be available to you.
