Painters And Dockers - THE BOY WHO LOST HIS JOCKS - 40 Years On!

A Birthday Celebration! The Boy who Lost his Jocks on Flinders Street Station turns 40! The Australian cult classic by the Painters and Dockers, ‘The Boy who lost his jocks on Flinders Street station’, celebrates its 40 th birthday this November. The song was originally released on the classic debut album, ‘Love Planet’ and has featured several times as the number one song about Melbourne. To mark this historic occasion, the Dockers are bringing their dynamic show to Volta, Ballarat (15 th November) and the Melbourne rock institution, The Tote, Collingwood, (16th November). The band will be joined on stage by Laurence Hewson, the Voice of Flinders Street Station. Live shows by the Painters and Dockers are a total entertainment experience. A band based in punk rock, power pop with soulful horns, instant classic songs, flamboyance and showmanship as good as it gets. It’s not a superior air that they bring to the stage – it’s a communal, one-in all-in let’s take this baby to the stars and hang there as long as we can in an orgy of outrageous exuberance.
