This is the story of a brilliant young girl who is exceptionally intelligent and loves reading, yet is often mistreated by her neglectful and ignorant parents and the tyrannical headmistress at school, who seeks to crush her spirit. Despite these challenges, the girl discovers she has telekinetic powers and uses them to stand up against injustice. With the support of her kind teacher, she transforms the lives of those around her and finds a place where she truly belongs.
