From Waikato Times columnist to international bestselling author, Helen Brown is back in the heartland to reconnect with longtime readers and meet new ones.
A regular panelist on Beauty and the Beast, Helen was a familiar face on TVNZ. Her stage show, A Slice of Banana Cake, raised $40,000 for Kiwi hospices and other charities.

When told her book Bono is the most taken out non-fiction title from Rotorua Library, Helen decided to revisit the town that holds happy memories of childhood holidays.

After moving to Melbourne, Australia, Helen wrote CLEO, a book inspired by reader response to her columns about how a small black cat helped her family heal after the death of her nine year old son, Sam. The book sold two million copies globally and is in 18 languages.Her latest book MICKEY revisits her pre-adolescence in New
Plymouth and the cat who guided her through a rocky transition.
