Christine Jeon - Cello

Christine Jeon is a first-year music student studying at the University of Auckland. She has won numerous awards including gaining first prize in the NZCT chamber contest in 2021 followed by gaining first prize in the International Melbourne String Festival Competition in 2022. Earlier last year, Christine had her first orchestral debut as a concerto soloist playing the Elgar cello concerto with the NZSO (New Zealand Symphony Orchestra). She aspires to travel worldwide to share her music with as many people as possible.

This concert is part of the Rising Stars Concert Series 2024.
