Afro Dance Fundamentals is a monthly 4 week course designed to develop the five core values of the Africanist Aesthetic and apply them in the context of 1-2 focus dances each month. The course will develop key skills of poly-rhythmic awareness and learning to hear & embody specific rhythmic patterns. The course includes training in specific body stances, isolations, and movement pathways; as well as developing skills to improvise.
