Delays on Cameron Rd today.

A teacher protest march will be held on Cameron Road between Chadwick Road to 22nd Avenue on Wednesday 29 May, from 12.45pm to approximately 2pm. Tauranga City Council advises vehicles to avoid the area during this time or use Takitimu Drive or Fraser Street as preferred alternative routes.

Vehicles who choose to travel along Cameron Road will have to remain behind the attenuator vehicle following the march, detour via a side road or turn around.

It is expected that the northbound lanes of Cameron Road, between Chadwick Road to 22nd Avenue, will be closed for approximately half an hour due to the protesters walking towards the city. The southbound lanes, from Munro Street to 22nd Avenue, will be closed for approximately 15 minutes to allow the protest march to cross in order to get to the Girls' College.
