Villainy 10th Anniversary Tour

Tuesday 05 July 2022

Villainy is back on the road to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their debut album “Mode. Set. Clear.” along with the re-release of the album as a double LP package pressed on very limited-edition vinyl!

Released in 2012, the album catapulted Villainy to the top of the local rock scene. With a string of hit singles including the iconic trackAlligator Skin, the album brought home the Aotearoa Music Award for Best Rock Album in 2013. Ten years later Villainy now has three albums under their belt, all winners of the Aotearoa Music Awards. They have played to thousands of fans at sell-out shows and supported heavyweights like AC/DC and Halestorm.

To mark this momentous occasion, Villainy will be playing four massive shows across Aotearoa pulling the best from the debut record and a solid selection of fan favourites.

Further, the band are re-issuing ‘Mode. Set. Clear.’ in a very limited-edition LP. Featuring the late Storm Thorgerson’s iconic art (Pink Floyd, Audioslave, Muse) and pressed on limited-edition heavyweight coloured vinyl housed in a gatefold package, the re-issue also features the bonus track Beginner’s Luck not previously included on the original pressing. Fans can pre-order a signed copy of this now direct from villainymusic.com or pick one up at the shows if they don’t sell out prior.

Known for their high energy, no holds barred performances, expect these shows to be a spectacle of light and sound with the kind of high-octane energy the band is known for. The band comments, “Villainy has changed our lives in ways that we could've never imagined and it's so humbling that after 10 years we're still able to head out and perform for such a loyal fan base. Mode. Set. Clear. was just the beginning and we can't wait to give this record the birthday it deserves on the road this spring!"
