Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs announce NZ shows
Monday 20 February 2023
UK-born / LA-based electronic dance artist and DJ Orlando Higginbottom is bringing his Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (or TEED) project down under for his first ever New Zealand headline dates, performing at Wellington's San Fran and Auckland's The Powerstation this coming May. Scooping up critical plaudits when his debut album Trouble dropped in 2012, TEED's second studio long player When The Lights Go was launched a decade later last year — bracketing a multitude of EPs, remixes, compilations and collaborations with such fellow heavyweights as Bonobo (earning a Grammy nomination in 2020 for their track 'Heartbreak'), Porter Robinson, The Knocks, Bronson and Dillon Francis.

“As the night went on, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs had full control of the room, exploding confetti into the crowd and unleashing blow-up dinosaur toys. Higginbottom played some of his older, instrumental tracks and devolved his set into more of a DJ showcase....Trouble remains one of my favourite albums of the year and Higgenbottom completely owned the room.” - Redefine mag
“This was honestly one of the best gigs I’ve been to in a long time and one of my highlights from this year. Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaur’s latest album is so textured and filled with so many tiny precise details that I’ll now be listening to it regularly for at least the remainder of the year.” - Skiddle
