The VANNS announce debut New Zealand shows

Friday 14 April 2023

Barreling out of Australia's south coast to take on the world, The VANNS have announced their debut Aotearoa shows, celebrating their forthcoming second album Last Of Your Kind with headline dates at Pōneke's San Fran and Tāmaki Makaurau's The Tuning Fork this June. Packing out venues in their homeland and unfurling such sun-splashed anthems as 'Keep My Cool', 'Fake Friends' and their triple j smash cover of Bon Iver's 'Hey, Ma', the Kiama four-piece laid down their second long player at Byron Bay's hallowed The Music Farm studios with producer Chris Collins (Skeggs, Middle Kids). The group's soaring melodic gifts are on full display on latest single 'Ever', along with recently unveiled tunes from the new record 'Feels Good Now' and 'Haunted'. Don't even think of missing The VANNS' first ever local gigs presented by San Fran and The Tuning Fork.

Introducing Last Of Your Kind, the new album from The VANNS, out Friday 19 May.

To celebrate the release of their new album (the follow up to their acclaimed 2019 debut album Through The Walls), The VANNS are crossing the Tasman and bringing their show to New Zealand audiences for the first time.

Recorded with The Music Farm’s (Midnight Oil, Cold Chisel) Chris Collins (Skeggs, Middle Kids), and in a similar vein to bands like Gang Of Youths, Interpol and Broken Social Scene, The VANNS deliver their narratives on record steeped in real emotion and connection. Lead by new single Ever, the album is home to fan favourite singles like Feels Good Now, Haunted, and more, all while ushering in a new era for The VANNS.
