Now in their 30th year, the band recently released their fourth studio album, The Superjesus, on March 21st. The record debuted at No.10 on the ARIA Albums Chart in Australia and features a mix of new material alongside the songwriting partnership of Sarah McLeod and Stuart Rudd, who remain central to the group’s creative direction.
Originally forming in Adelaide in the mid-90s, The Superjesus released three studio albums between 1998 and 2003 (Sumo, Jet Age, and Rock Music), earning multiple ARIA Awards and significant national airplay. After a break in the mid-2000s, they returned to performing in 2013 and have continued to tour and release music since.
The New Zealand tour will feature songs from the new album as well as tracks from earlier releases. Support comes from The After, a New Zealand band set to tour Asia later this year.
