The Pretenders debut new tracks during their intimate club tour at The Great Escape festival in Brighton. The British-American band showcased "A Love" and "Domestic Silence," which are part of their upcoming album titled "Relentless" set to release on September 1, 2023 via Parlophone. This will be their twelfth album and the first to be released via Warner Brothers, their parent record label, since 1999.

The band played to a packed house at The Old Market, with fans queuing throughout the afternoon to see the iconic band perform their new songs. Frontwoman Chrissie Hynde informed the audience that they were breaking the curfew before they played "Don't Get Me Wrong." The band expressed that the album would be an embodiment of who they are in 2023 and would feature the same impulsiveness and attitude as their previous fan-favourites, including "Back on the Chain Gang" and "I'll Stand By You."

The album will also include a collaboration between The Pretenders and Jonny Greenwood from Radiohead and The Smile on the album's closing track, "I Think About You Daily."
