The Jungle Giants announces two dates & release new single 'Trippin Up'
Friday 10 March 2023
Originally set to perform at Laneway Festival earlier this year in Tāmaki Makaurau (sadly cancelled due to flash floods), The Jungle Giants aren't leaving local fans hanging. The Australian indie rock / dance crew have announced a pair of New Zealand headline dates for their Trippin Up tour — named after the genre-traversing group's upbeat new single which just launched today, with an accompanying video out on Friday. Hugely successful in their marsupial-infested homeland and beyond, the Brisbane four-piece have racked up a staggering half a billion streams and counting, hitting the number one spot on the ARIA album chart with their 2021 fourth studio long player Love Signs. The new single foreshadows The Jungle Giants' imminent fifth album (more info to be revealed) — grip the details for the Aotearoa leg of their Trippin Up tour below, joined by special guests The Lazy Eyes from Sydney (who recently toured here with Daffodils) and AROHA.
The Jungle Giants - Trippin Up Tour
Friday 16th June - The Powerstation, Auckland
Saturday 17th June - San Fran, Wellington
With well over half a billion streams worldwide and the #1 ARIA-charting fourth album Love Signs under their belts, The Jungle Giants are undeniably Australian indie-rock royalty. The last year has seen the band headlining festivals and selling out shows from hemisphere to hemisphere - including highlight shows at Okeechobee and M3F Festivals in the United States of America, Corona Capital in Mexico and Laneway Festival in Australia. Constantly evolving their genre-agnostic sound, The Jungle Giants have set out in pursuit of their fifth studio album with the release of first single “Trippin Up.” Fueled by buoyant melodies and infectious choruses, this release is the next evolution of a band that refuses to sit still.
