The Grogans announce New Zealand tour

Thursday 08 December 2022

Like a bat outta Yarra Bend Park, Melbourne rock-goblins The Grogans are soaring back over to our side of the Tasman for a wild-rockin’ seven-city tour in February and March. They'll be starting their 2023 Aotearoa adventure in Christchurch / Ōtautahi, then shall work their way up the country to vigorously test the structural integrity of our moshpits. The joyfully named trio of besties landed a hat-trick with the release of their third album Which Way Is Out in October, a festering infusion of dirt-tinged garage and punk with a tasteful dash of pysch-rock for measure (listen below). Whilst Which Way saw the boys branch out as songwriters, The Grogans who are renowned for their high-octane live shows, have packed each new branch with the walloping power of a Dickensian headmaster’s cane.

If the tour announcement wasn’t enough to satiate fans, The Grogan’ have treated us to a new video for their single ‘Le Fangz’ which features a claymation vampire-flower-hybrid-thingy created by Willem Kingma you've got see to believe. Don't miss them at the following dates...

“Le Fangz tries to mellow you out and tell a story of an imaginary creature ‘le fang’ through a more lo/fi gritty ballad. This song actually accrued from this awful painting Quin did of these daisy looking vampire critters during lockdown. We were having a few beers on the grass just painting on big bits of plywood. After Quin had finished he wrote ‘le fangs’ on it as the title which ended up in our studio until it one day became the main character in a song.” — The Grogans

Following a huge year of touring through 2022, The Grogans are jumping straight back into another packed year – announcing their 27-date AUS/NZ tour in support of their latest album ‘Which Way Is Out’ (released October 2022).

Including seven stops throughout Aotearoa, the shows come on the back of their debut sold out New Zealand tour earlier this year
