sombr Announces First-Ever Australia and New Zealand Headline Tour This December
Monday 19 May 2025
Rising alt-pop artist sombr has announced his debut headline shows in Australia and New Zealand, set for December 2025, following performances at Spilt Milk Festival. The 19-year-old New York native will play Auckland Town Hall (Dec 2), Melbourne’s Festival Hall (Dec 4), Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion (Dec 9), and Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall (Dec 11).
Tickets go on sale Thursday 22 May at 4pm local time, with a Frontier Members presale from Wednesday 21 May at 3pm. Full details at frontiertouring.com/sombr.
Born Shane Boose, sombr began making music in his bedroom during the pandemic, teaching himself production while attending LaGuardia High School. His breakout track “Caroline” (2022) quickly gained viral traction, and he now counts over 28 million monthly Spotify listeners.
Tracks like “would’ve been you”, “do I ever cross your mind”, and recent singles “back to friends” and “undressed” have cemented his place in the alt-pop space. Both “undressed” and “back to friends” currently sit in the Top 10 of Australia’s ARIA Singles Chart and are climbing the Billboard Hot 100 and Spotify Global charts.
The tour follows sold-out North American and European shows and will see sombr perform in Australia and New Zealand for the first time. Expect a mix of lo-fi intimacy, raw emotion, and streaming-era hits that have resonated with a global audience.
Don’t miss the chance to see one of 2025’s most talked-about new artists live.
