Rising star Kaylee Bell announces Aotearoa tour
Thursday 23 February 2023
After a dream start to 2023, opening for all six of Ed Sheeran’s Multiply (+-=÷ x) tour dates in New Zealand, including a record breaking show at Sky Stadium, Wellington and two packed nights at Auckland’s Eden Park, Kaylee Bell is now taking her incredible full live band show on the road throughout Aotearoa this May.
Despite having performed at various festivals (Rhythm n Vines, CMC Rocks) and opening for some of the world’s biggest artists both here and abroad, this will be Bell’s first headline tour of her home country. As Bell explains, she can’t wait to get out and see fans throughout the country
“It’s always been a dream to tour through NZ playing my music to people and we can’t wait to get to play both islands and meet as many people as we can out on tour. Music is about bringing people together and I can’t wait for this tour to do that. This year has started off in an incredible way playing stadiums with Ed Sheeran and we can’t wait to carry that on playing shows around NZ.”
Named after her current radio hit single ‘Boots n All’ which Bell describes as ‘Shania meets Haim’, the Boots ‘n All tour will see Bell playing some of New Zealand’s best stages and stunning rooms with her full band. Beginning in her hometown of Waimate at The Regent Theatre on Friday 5 May, Bell then heads to Christchurch’s James Hay Theatre on Saturday 6 May before heading north to The St James Theatre in Wellington on Friday 12 May, Regent on Broadway in Palmerston North on Saturday 13 May and Theatre Royal New Plymouth on Sunday 14 May.
Hamilton is next at The Meteor Theatre on Friday 19 May and the tour will finish up at Auckland’s iconic Powerstation on Sunday 21 May.
Whilst this is Bell’s first headline tour of New Zealand, she has enjoyed overwhelming success over the past few years both locally and internationally. Last year, her hit ‘Keith’ written as nod to country music super star and one of her biggest inspirations Keith Urban, topped the Australian country airplay charts for five weeks and propelled her to becoming the most streamed female country music artist in Australasia.
A proudly independent artist, Bell also featured on 2022’s season of The Voice Australia blowing the judges away with her performance of ‘Keith’, including judge Keith Urban himself. The video of her performance went viral online racking up over 1.9 million views on YouTube and the single has amassed over 15 million streams on Spotify alone.
There’s much more to Kaylee Bell though. She has set the stage alight the world over, playing across the USA, Europe, playing the main stage at Australia’s 22,000 capacity sold-out CMC Rocks festival, she’s opened for Keith Urban, The Chicks and SIX60, and headlined Coca Cola Christmas In The Park.
2023 is Kaylee Bell’s year, she’s laced up her boots, slung her guitar and she’s ready to take on the world. Don’t miss your chance to catch our brightest star in the making on her first ever tour of New Zealand.
