Tuesday 20 December 2022

Te Whanganui-a-Tara's nu-wave / nu-pop / nu-jazz sensations Revulva are celebrating a breakout year that's included a sizzling run of live shows, the launch of their debut EP Girl's Gotta Eat and an SRN award finalist nomination (for said EP) with a full blown nationwide summer tour of Aotearoa. Cramming into their chosen mode of transportation, the nine-piece team of Phoebe Johnson (NOVA, Ebony Lamb), Lily Rose Shaw (Dawn Diver, The Gallery), Hector McLachlan (Raiden Freeman), Hayden Richardson (Dr. Reknaw), Lennox Grootjans (Hummucide, Len Blake), Toby Leman (Hummucide, The Gallery), Olivia Campion (Yumi Zouma, Mystery Waitress), Zane Hawkins (Dr. Reknaw, Zoe Moon) and Kaito Walley (TOI, Bret Mckenzie) have eight headline dates lined up for January and February 2023, plus an appearance at Eyegum's Welcome To Nowhere festival in Whanganui. Don't miss Revulva bringing the party to a stage near you (or private garden if you're around Lake Hāwea) at the following dates

“Bringing you flavours of soul, funk, pop and jazz: Revulva are an eight-piece that are proven - to - get - you - movin’.

Kicking off 2023 in a high-octane fashion, Revulva are heading off on their first New Zealand wide tour - with full nine-piece band Phoebe Johnson (NOVA, Ebony Lamb), Lily Rose Shaw (Dawn Diver, The Gallery), Hector McLachlan (Raiden Freeman), Hayden Richardson (Dr. Reknaw), Lennox Grootjans (Hummucide, Len Blake), Toby Leman (Hummucide, The Gallery), Olivia Campion (Yumi Zouma, Mystery Waitress), Zane Hawkins (Dr. Reknaw, Zoe Moon) and Kaito Walley (TOI, Bret Mckenzie).

After a successful release of their debut EP, “Girl’s Gotta Eat”, getting SRN nominated for best EP and raising eyebrows at continuous epic gigs in Wellington, Revulva are touring up and down the motu with nine shows in Christchurch, Wānaka, Taranaki, Wellington, Napier, Tauranga, Auckland & Leigh - as well as a spot at the beloved Whanganui festival, Welcome to Nowhere.
