Tuesday 16 May 2023
Pantera made a triumphant return to the stage, performing their first US show in 22 years at Thunder Beach Motorcycle Rally in Panama City, Florida. The band's reunion was announced in 2022, with singer Philip Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown signing a deal for a series of US tour dates. Zakk Wylde joined as a guitarist, paying homage to the late Dimebag Darrell. Charlie Benante from Anthrax took over the drums after the passing of Vinnie Paul.
The band rocked the crowd with iconic songs like 'Cowboys From Hell' and 'Walk'. Pantera expressed their gratitude to the fans for an amazing comeback show. This followed their headline performance at the Hell & Heaven festival in Mexico after a 21-year hiatus. Despite controversies and lineup changes, Pantera continues to leave their mark on the metal scene.
