NZ electronic duo 'Sachi' make history
Monday 25 July 2022
After years of commanding their hometown New Zealand festival circuit on stages including Rhythm & Vines, Bay Dreams, Northern Bass, Soundsplash, and many more, New Zealand electronic-pop duo SACHI have made history as the first New Zealand act to play Belgium’s coveted Tomorrowland festival - the most prestigious electronic music festival in the world.
Marking a milestone bucket list triumph, SACHI were originally set to take the Tomorrowland stage back in 2020, before the festival’s long-awaited reschedule over two years on from its original Covid 19 delays. Their Tomorrowland debut saw SACHI representing Aotearoa proudly on the world stage, performing to a crowd of over 200,000 attendees, complete with a New Zealand flag adorning their show stopping set. SACHI’s dynamic live show sees the pair swapping instruments, as well as playing bass, drums and keys in addition to vocals, forming a non-traditional, progressive, and immersive electronic experience.
“It was an amazing moment to be able to represent New Zealand on such a prestigious stage at a world renowned festival like Tomorrowland. A huge milestone for us and something we had been dreaming about for years. We are stoked because we got to play our new single and it got a really great response, we’re excited to put it out! “
Playing on the same stage as renowned international headliners including Diplo, Alesso, Martin Garrix, Marshmello, Netsky, and many more, SACHI’s Tomorrowland festival debut was a groundbreaking achievement, stamping the duo as a cutting edge world-class act that only continue to ascend and conquer.
