NO CIGAR Announce Nationwide NZ Tour Ahead of Third Album
Wednesday 18 June 2025
Breakout indie outfit NO CIGAR are hitting the road this November for a three-date Aotearoa tour in support of their upcoming third album, Under The Surface, set for release on Friday, July 30.
The genre-blurring five-piece will bring their signature semi-rock energy to:
- Meow Nui, Wellington – Friday 7 November
- Ngaio Marsh Theatre, Christchurch – Saturday 8 November
- Powerstation, Auckland – Friday 14 November
Known for their magnetic live shows and loyal following, NO CIGAR continue to rise as one of Aotearoa’s most compelling musical exports. Since forming in 2019, the band have carved out a sound that fuses indie, surf, and alternative rock — and Under The Surface promises to capture that on-stage chemistry in full force.
Fresh off a successful European and UK tour in May and June 2025 — including a debut at Brighton’s Great Escape Festival and over 1,500 tickets sold across headline shows — NO CIGAR are bringing that momentum back home for their biggest local shows yet.
Their last album, The Great Escape (2023), spent 74 consecutive weeks on the NZ Top 20 Albums Chart, led by fan-favourite “Concubine,” which The Rock FM listeners voted one of the top 10 rock songs of 2024.
From DIY buzz to global stages, NO CIGAR have built their rise on sharp songwriting, tight live shows, and grassroots loyalty. With special guests to be announced and their biggest venues to date locked in, these shows are set to be something special.
