Nicki Minaj reignites her fiery rhymes in 'Red Ruby Da Sleeze' video debut

Nicki Minaj releases new music video for “Red Ruby Da Sleeze,” her first solo single of 2023 which debuted at Number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in March. On Instagram, the rapper announced the release of the full video for the song, which is now available on YouTube and will be available elsewhere next week.

The video features Minaj in her hometown of Trinidad and Tobago for Carnival 2023, dropping fiery rhymes as she moves around in a robe and bathing suits poolside with the Caribbean sea in the background. She also takes strolls down city streets and goes for joy rides at night. In the track, she calls out others who try to match her style, questioning “Who the fuck told bitches they was me now?” early on.

Later in the song, she asserts her dominance with lines like “See the difference is: I run businesses/If I ain’t employ you, then what yo business is?/I’ll have staff roll up like what the business is?” “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” follows her hit song from last year, “Super Freaky Girl.”

Minaj has also collaborated with other artists recently, including Kim Petras for “Alone” and Ice Spice for a remix of “Princess Diana,” an ode to the late royal.
