Otautahi-based Fraser Ross is embarking on a 12-date tour of New Zealand to celebrate his new single,‘Janice, In the Diary,’ which will be released on January 27 th through Home Alone Records.

It is the first single off his upcoming album, ‘Thunderhead,’ which is set for release mid-2023, and following solo tours with Jazmine Mary, and Amiria Grenell in 2021, it will be the first time he has performed with a band since releasing his last album, ‘Life is Magic, Where is my Rabbit?’ in 2018.

The single was recorded mostly live at the Massey School of Music, Wellington by Mike Gibson, with further tracking, and mixing at ‘The Surgery’ done by Dr. Lee Prebble.

‘Janice, In the Dairy’ is a groovy, atmospheric indie-rock exposition, of someone who leaves a relationship with somebody before they get too close, only to realise they already have feelings for them, and have just ruined a good thing.
