Burt Bacharach passes away peacefully at 94

Grammy- and Oscar-winning Burt Bacharach, master of pop songwriting, has died of natural causes aged 94 at his home in LA. Raised on jazz and classical, Bacharach grew up on a background of Classical and Jazz.

The songwriter and performer  had 73 Top 40 hits in the US and 52 in the UK 

During the 1960s, Bacharach and partner, lyricist Hal David — wrote “(They Long to Be) Close to You,” “I Say a Little Prayer,” “The Look of Love,” “Walk on By,” “Always Something There to Remind Me,” and “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head.”
