South Island Cheese Festival
Tuesday 02 August 2022
The South Island Cheese Festival is returning to Marlborough for the second year. After having to postpone New Zealand’s only cheese focused festival back in February, Event owners Cranky Goat and Hannah Lamb decided to move the 2022 festival to align with NZ Cheese Month in October.
The South Island Cheese Festival will be held at the beautiful Clos Henri Vineyard on Saturday 8th October from 10-4pm. With over 10 of New Zealand’s artisan cheese companies, it is guaranteed there will be a cheese for everyone. The organisers have worked hard to offer a variety of milk types, cheese styles. The festival will also host non cheese food stalls such as bread, crackers, pate, meats and fruit so that you can create your own picnics to enjoy with a wine or cider on the large lawn. There will also be food trucks, coffee and cold press juices for you to enjoy.
“After such a successful 2021 South Island Cheese Festival, it was a no-brainer to bring the event back bigger and better for 2022. We are incredibly lucky to have so many small to medium cheese companies in New Zealand and this festival gives those cheese companies an opportunity to showcase their delicious cheeses in front of thousands of cheese lovers. Our aim with this festival is to encourage people to explore their cheese preferences and support small NZ cheese companies” - Event Owner and coordinator Hannah Lamb
The South Island Cheese Festival will be launching it’s More FM Marlborough People’s Choice competition where you can vote for your favourite cheese to be in to win $100 worth of cheese.
Purchase your $10 ticket via eventfinda today - tickets will sell out fast so don’t miss out.
