Sunday, March 8 marks International Women’s Day for 2020, and this year’s theme is Each for Equal – it’s about choosing to challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perceptions, improve situations and celebrate women& achievements. And what better way to celebrate women’s achievements than with a kick-ass selection of short films showcasing some pretty inspiring women who are getting out there and conquering the natural world. The Women’s Adventure Film Tour is a global series, sharing films of women involved in adventure sports, a domain that has typically been perceived as a man’s world. This year’s playlist features an all-star cast of Kiwi athletes including World Champion ultra- trail runner Anna Frost, Olympic skier Janina Kuzma and mountaineer Penny Brothers, as well as women in climbing, cliff diving, paragliding, mountain biking and more.
