What’s happening at The Station?

Tuesday 03 March 2020

We recently shifted our transmission operation to Kopukairua from our small independent site up Minden Road. This means our coverage has increased significantly especially in relation to our northern coverage. Our license and transmission now equals the Auckland-based networks broadcasting here.

For those of you who have struggled with reception, thanks for your patience – you should be all good now!

You’ll notice an increase in activity now we have secured our transmission chain. Our bayofplenty.live and local information updates are populating The Station, and we welcome presenters Rosco back for his Wednesday night Randomness with Rosco show and Brett Angel every Saturday morning.

AND I’m super excited to have completed the purchase of the Juice TV and J2 TV brands, which we are test broadcasting from March on Freeview 200 - Kordia TV. I have been closely tied to the Juice family for many years and it’s a privilege to be able to continue the Wrightson family’s legacy with this brand. Excitingly, this is the first time Juice TV has been free to air. We have plenty of ideas of where we can take the new Juice TV so literally ‘watch this space’.

I am grateful for your support, having independent local media is essential to a balanced community and we’re working hard to provide this for you.

Catch us on the airwaves on 105.4FM bay wide or on iHeart Radio (search The Station Tauranga).
