Te Wiki o te Reo Māori - Podcast

Thursday 15 September 2022

Te Wiki o te Reo Māori (Māori Language Week) began on Monday 12 September, and today (Wednesday 14 September) marks the 50th anniversary of the Māori Language Petition, an event that led to many of the kaupapa we have today, including Te Wiki o te Reo Māori.

To honour one of the official languages of Aotearoa, Creative Bay of Plenty and Film Bay of Plenty have joined forces with presenter Tihini Grant and Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Kura Kōkiri (a local Māori language immersion school) to record three podcasts entirely in te Reo Māori...

- Actress Kataraina Howden-Borell stars in the 2022 television series Beyond the Veil. Listen to her kōrero with presenter Tihini Grant about the importance of te reo Māori on our screens.
